The Clear Winner: The OLED TV

If you’ve ever watched a movie, TV show, or game on an OLED TV, then you’ll never forget the visually captivating experience. Even though they have three letters in common, OLED and LED TVs are nothing alike. One uses backlit technology, and the other does not.

An LCD TV is backlit by LED technology. LCD stands for liquid crystal display. It is the main panel of most 4K TVs, which contains more than 8 million pixels. Each pixel produces color by combining various colors of red, green, and blue. However, the LCD panel does not generate light. It needs LED technology to illuminate it. Even though the display is impressive and much better than an HD TV, it’s still not perfect.

The OLED TV is very different from an LED. OLED stands for “organic light emitting diode.” Unlike an LCD/LED TV, it does not need backlighting for the main panel. Instead, each pixel (diode) produces its own color and light. The result is an image quality with perfect color, contrast, and brightness. OLED TVs are ideal for home theaters, because no matter how big the display is, you’ll enjoy stunning images that come alive with amazing realism.

The Runner-Up: Samsung’s QLED TV

Samsung developed the QLED TV, which is essentially their take on the OLED, but the technology is quite different. Much like a LED-backlit LCD TV, the pixels of a QLED TV do not illuminate on their own. However, Samsung’s QLED is much more advanced than a typical LED/LCD TV. It produces bright illumination, deep contrast, and vivid colors that make everything on the screen come alive. And while it doesn’t quite measure up to an OLED TV, it is still an excellent option for a home theater.

New Advancements in Projectors

Projector technology has come a long way – even in the last few years. In fact, your dedicated home theater experience could improve greatly from a new one! One of the most innovative and high-performance technologies is the laser projector. Unlike traditional projectors, laser light produces a vivid, bright picture quality that does not fade over time. The viewing experience is noticeable too.

In addition, a laser projector doesn’t need time to warm up and cool down. It’s similar to a TV. Just turn it on, and you’re ready for the show. Best of all, both an OLED TV and a projector can be fully integrated with your smart home control system. So, it’s easy to manage everything by touching one button on your tablet or smartphone. Queue the smart lights, display, and sound, and you’re ready for the ultimate in home entertainment.
